I’m old so I expect some pains but if that isn’t your situation, listen to the previous response because you deserve to live painlessly as possible! Even if you’re not a youngster, you deserve to be treated for pain for as much relief as you can get !!!!!

That sounds really exhausting — waking up hurting, watching the clock, and never truly switching off. Living with lymphoma can make restful sleep feel almost impossible, and you're definitely not alone in this struggle.

That sounds really exhausting — waking up hurting, watching the clock, and never truly switching off. Living with lymphoma can make restful sleep feel almost impossible, and you're definitely not alone in this struggle.

Pain, discomfort, and restless nights are very common with lymphoma. A MyLymphomaTeam member shared: "I have not slept a full night in three years" — so what you're going through is real and recognized. Here are some things that may help improve sleep quality:

- Talk to your doctor about pain management options — addressing the pain directly can make a big difference to sleep
- Try melatonin about 30 minutes before bed (but check with your doctor first, as supplements can interact with lymphoma treatments)
- Wind down before bed — a warm bath, light reading, or gentle breathing exercises
- Avoid screens close to bedtime, as blue light disrupts sleep
- Keep your bedroom cool and dark
- Avoid caffeine and alcohol in the evening

Some MyLymphomaTeam members have found nerve pain medications like gabapentin helpful for sleep when pain is the main issue — worth asking your doctor about. Most importantly, please tell your care team everything you're experiencing — the roaming pain, the restless sleep, all of it. They can help find the right combination of solutions for you. You deserve real rest. 💙
