What a relief it must have been to see that chest tumor disappear after treatment! That's genuinely wonderful news for your daughter.

Being diagnosed at 23 actually works in her favor. Younger adults — especially those under 55 — tend to have better outlooks with large B-cell lymphoma (LBCL). Around 80% of people under 55 live five years or more after diagnosis.

Achieving a complete response (no evidence of cancer after treatment) is a really positive sign. Here's what that generally means:
- 4 out of 5 people who reach complete remission live at least five years after diagnosis
- Many go on to stay in remission long-term and never experience a relapse
- The longer remission lasts, the lower the chances of it returning That said, follow-up care is still really important. Relapses are most likely within the first two years after treatment, so her care team will likely recommend:

- Check-up visits every couple of months in the first two years
- Lab tests during the first five years
- Scans typically for the first two years

Keeping all those follow-up appointments gives the best chance of catching anything early if needed. She's off to a great start! 💛
