I had about three incidents over two years, having infusions every other month. The side effect was difficulty breathing and l was given oxygen and they slowed down the rate of the rituxan infusion. My face was always extremely red the first day after the infusion. I was terribly tired and slept most of the next 24 hours. Now that the infusions ended 7 months ago I am more fatigued. An ultrasound of my spleen is planned. I was told to go ahead with my cataract surgery.
I just finished my 7th of 12 Rituximab infusion and no significant side effects for which I praise and thank God for. My heart and prayers go out to those who aren't as fortunate.
I too are taking rituximab. Just had a session today. Other than being tired, I’m good. No adverse side effects
My husband has had Rituximab together with another drug. He’s got mantle cell lymphoma. He had 6 rounds and although initially he had an allergic reaction, it was managed during infusion. He was/is tired, bruising stopped although it’s back again now. After a couple of months he had pain in his bones which I understand can be side effects of the chemotherapy. He’s on a different drug now. Your side effects, if you have any, could be so much different though so positive thoughts. Take care and rest lots. Xx
