Thanks very much Rhonda- your comments re drinking after 3pm were very much appreciated.
Cheers
One more thing Graeme, it's about the manner in which our kidneys function:
Because they are working at their peak between 6am and 3pm, it's best to drink the majority of our daily fluids ie water, tea, flavoured water, etc during this time period.
After about 3pm our kidneys begin their "revitalization" period when it's recommended we decrease our fluid intake until approximately 7pm when we stop our fluid intake until we wake up the next morning. In doing so we don't tax our renal system during the period in which it would normally "slow down". This regimen may help you sleep better during the night.
You may recall being told to drink fluids following chemotherapy to avoid dehydration and to assist our body with flushing metabolites from the chemotherapy infusions. I hope that this information is helpful to you.
Again, all the best to you both, Graeme,
from Gia, the One and Only and Rhonda4.
