Brian - I was so scared of the nausea myself too, before I started - that was all I could think about - I didn’t get any nausea at all for the whole chemo journey. Felt horrid at times but no nausea ! Phew! Part of your infusion is anti nausea meds and I did have meds on hand but never used them. All the best ! Go slay your dragon ! I did !! In remission now !
Brian,
take a breath my friend, we all have been there. Yes it is scary, I hope you have your port in place. it will be a lifesaver, as for side effects. We are all different. I felt like death warmed over for months, but I didn’t have any nausea, you’ll become weak tired and you’ll lose weight. The constipation will be unbearable. You need to bring this up with your care team ASAP, before you start your cycle, It’s all part of the process to rid your body of this cancer. hang in there’s nothing to fear. You will have adverse side effects but it’s nothing your care team hasn’t experienced hundreds of times before, all of us are right here with you, any concerns, just ask, we’ve all been through it,. 🙏🙏🙏, personally I was diagnosed last April 2025 wasn’t my best year but in January I’m in remission. I just passed all of my midyear check ups in my MCL is in Check for now.
Hi BrianBegley-I was diagnosed with NHL-DLBCL. My treatment was R-Chop and 25 radiation treatments. I have been in remission since my last treatment in the spring of 2007.
I was concerned about nausea but my doctor prescribed medication and I didn’t experience sickness. You are not alone. We have a great group here of caring and loving people. If I can help with any questions don’t hesitate to ask. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Hi Brian, I have/had dlbcl and I had extreme pain in my knees and shoulders. My pain levels really decreased after my 2nd treatment. I've been in remission since last January. I'm praying that all goes well with your treatments 🙏
I appreciate you telling me that.
