It's particularly exciting because it provides a chance of cure for some patients with lymphomas that couldn't be cured through any other treatment method.

The therapy works by reprogramming a patient's own T cells to recognize and attack resistant lymphoma cells. This targeted approach is both a form of immunotherapy and targeted therapy. Several CAR-T cell therapies have been approved for treating various types of lymphoma, including:

Yescarta (Axicabtagene ciloleucel)
Tecartus (Brexucabtagene autoleucel)
Breyanzi (Lisocabtagene maraleucel)
Kymriah (Tisagenlecleucel)

These treatments have shown particular success in treating aggressive NHL, resistant mantle cell lymphoma, and resistant low-grade follicular lymphoma.
