My husband has CLL and SLL. He has broken out in a rash that covers his entire body from head to toe. Some look like rashes and most are red little dots all over. It looks like he has the measles, but he doesn’t. He itches everywhere and his neck lymph nodes are now swollen on both sides. Is this a sign that it has become an aggressive leukemia cancer?
Victoria I’m sorry to hear about your husband. I know how scary it can be. The rash is a common symptom from what I have seen and heard and I’ve experienced it. Although with all the things you have described it’s important to get to your doctor. The swollen lymph nodes on his neck are a sign that it may have progressed or changed.
Kindly,
- Michelle
This sounds really distressing, and it's completely understandable to be worried. A full-body rash with swollen lymph nodes in someone with CLL/SLL absolutely warrants an urgent call to his oncologist or a visit to the ER — please don't wait on this one.
