Some types of lymphoma, particularly cutaneous lymphomas, can show up as a rash that persists or keeps returning. These rashes are sometimes mistaken for other skin conditions at first. Here are some rash characteristics that have been associated with lymphoma:
- A rash that keeps coming back or won't fully go away
- Redness, dryness, or scaly patches
- Itching, sometimes intense
- Bumps or lesions on the skin
- A rash that doesn't improve with standard topical treatments
It's really important to bring this up with your doctor as soon as possible. They may want to refer you to a dermatologist, and in some cases a skin biopsy might be recommended to get a clearer picture of what's going on.
