June 2019 i was diagnosed with primary cns lymphoma.
This year in march i had an ovary removed. They found diffuse large b cell lymphoma. My oncologist wants to put me on the r-CHOP regimen with stem cell transplant to follow as maintainance therapy.
Got a bone density scan to get the "all clear" to proceed with a rotator cuff repair surgery. That was wishful thinking. The scan showed severe osteoporosis. My Drs did not blink - just ordered medication to treat osteoporosis. My dear RN friend questioned why I have this dx at the age of 60. She said that does not seem right - you should ask for further testing. Chemo is directly related to new cancers in our bodies. My doctor also told me indolent lymphomas often lead to other cancers.

I have read that this condition is rare but I have a biopsy for breast cancer coming up and I also have non hodgkin lymphoma. I am wondering if you can have both at the same time!

Diagnosed with TWO cancers in January 2024, papillary thyroid cancer AND Nodular Lymphocyte Predominant Hodgkin’s Lymphoma stage 3S or 4.
I was just diagnosed a week ago and don't meet with my doctor to discuss next steps until after the new year. He mentioned possibly doing "watch and wait" method and I've read a lot that backs that up, which really surprises me. Why would you wait until things got worse to pursue any type of treatment?
