Thanks so much for reaching out. I sure will follow up!
Been in remission since May and have been having stomach pain that was believed to be a hernia until ultrasound showed there wasn’t one. Now have to go back for another PET scan because of a swollen liver and spleen. I’m having severe anxiety over the whole situation. I don’t want to do this again.
Mark as a patient in remission you will find yourself with wondering if every pain is cancer reoccurring. If anxiety helped I would say go for it. You can choose to worry or choose to move on with… read more
I know my diet has a direct influence on my level of inflammation. After feasting on Thanksgiving I felt AWFUL yesterday. Sugar especially. I did speak with a RD but basically had the knowledge she imparted. As with most things in life, I’m unable to “perfectly” follow eating all whole grains, eating a rainbow- especially raw veggies, etc. And with the other things the RD shared (red meat no more than 2x a mo, 8 glasses of water a day, etc) I do the best I can with my other medical issues, in… read more
Hi Sue, I'm the same way as you, some of the grains & veggies I can't eat, we do the best as we can, we know what is best for us. Doctors seam to lump everyone in the category, for instance I'm told… read more
My oncology office made me go through chemo training before starting chemo. I was advised of all of the possible reactions.
I get the sense that the most progressive thinking around cancer treatment tries to minimize chemo in favor of "quality of life." My Doctor at UVM is young and, I believe) very bright. And ambitious. It is true that this followed on the heels of 4 weekly Rituxan treatments that didn't do the job he'd hoped for. But using Rituxan first was also a way of delaying chemo since it… read more
I had DLBCL and got four cycles of R-CHOP accompanied with two cycles of CNS prophylaxis and followed by two cycles of Rituximab only. There is a study saying that 4 cycles are as good as 6, based on… read more

Oh…I left out that I’ve had fl for 14 years and have needed treatment three times. 💖
Chemotherapy? Prayer? Your spouse? Diet? Church, masjid, temple, synagogue? Exercise? What's helped you most as an individual dealing with cancer?
I say, a spiritual practice is the best way to rise your spiritual energy. If you are Christian find a Christian spiritual practice that you can use (Bible spiritual reading, silent prayer… read more
Hey team, Anybody experiencing long term effects of RCHOP? I feel worse now than when I was going through my 6 cycles. Severe fatigue, neuropathy that makes it difficult to walk far or use my hands for long periods. I’m in my maintenance period. Will have my 2nd Rituxan infusion in 2 weeks.
Thank you. I just need to keep reminding myself that I’m indeed alive.
