How Best To Deal With The Anxiety Of An Upcoming PET Scan After Being In Remission?
A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question đź’

Been in remission since May and have been having stomach pain that was believed to be a hernia until ultrasound showed there wasn’t one. Now have to go back for another PET scan because of a swollen liver and spleen. I’m having severe anxiety over the whole situation. I don’t want to do this again.

Does Diet Affect How You Feel/your Level Of Inflammation? Have You Seen A Dietitian? Do You Have The Energy To Exercise?
A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question đź’

I know my diet has a direct influence on my level of inflammation. After feasting on Thanksgiving I felt AWFUL yesterday. Sugar especially. I did speak with a RD but basically had the knowledge she imparted. As with most things in life, I’m unable to “perfectly” follow eating all whole grains, eating a rainbow- especially raw veggies, etc. And with the other things the RD shared (red meat no more than 2x a mo, 8 glasses of water a day, etc) I do the best I can with my other medical issues, in… read more

Has Anyone Else Had 4 Treatments Of Bendamustine/Rituxan For MCL Instead Of 6?
A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question đź’

I get the sense that the most progressive thinking around cancer treatment tries to minimize chemo in favor of "quality of life." My Doctor at UVM is young and, I believe) very bright. And ambitious. He hasn't said so, but I think his approach is novel. Most everybody I know of has had 6 treatments, not 4 as I did. It is true that this followed on the heels of 4 weekly Rituxan treatments that didn't do the job he'd hoped for. But using Rituxan first was also a way of delaying chemo since it… read more

Long Term Effects Of RCHOP
A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question đź’

Hey team, Anybody experiencing long term effects of RCHOP? I feel worse now than when I was going through my 6 cycles. Severe fatigue, neuropathy that makes it difficult to walk far or use my hands for long periods. I’m in my maintenance period. Will have my 2nd Rituxan infusion in 2 weeks.

Thank you. I just need to keep reminding myself that I’m indeed alive.
