Any thoughts on whether those of us with lymphoma should get the shingles vaccine? My oncologist today told me I should get it. I've been pretty die-hard about not introducing toxins into my body....and I'm thinking that is another one. But he said getting shingles would really be hard on my body with the lymphoma.

Has anyone with NHL had a terrible time with side effects of the booster? I got mine on Sunday and have had a terrible reaction! So weak sick, tired the works!????

I think this should be investigated further.
Maybe depends on the type or we just unlucky to breath something in the air.
Hello Group - My name is Pam, 63 year old retired nurse. I just finished 6 months of Bendemustine/Rituxamab (BR) treatment for follicular lymphoma stage 4. The majority of providers are recommending a 2 year - every 2 month infusion of Rituxamab. I've also heard some LLS physicians state they no longer use this protocol due to weakening of the immune system - with COVID and all still active would increase our chances of getting it. I asked my doctor about the Covid vaccines. He said to get the Covid vaccine once it is available .I would have to wait 6 months after chemo for the shingles vaccine.
I was diagnosed with NH Follicular 3a 11-18 but I'm on wait and see. The covid vaccine causes swollen lymph nodes. Will this activate my lymphoma?
