74 Year Old Male. Diagnosed NHL Non Aggressive Mode. Not Many Frequent Symptoms.
A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

At this point, I’ve decided not to start treatment
I have lost two friends in the last year to other types of cancer
They both went through chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
They continued telling me that the chemotherapy had caused many uncomfortable side effects and weren’t sure whether it was causing more painful issues than it was worth.
They both have passed in the last three months.
They both expressed to me that their quality of life, and getting some extra months, wasn’t really… read more

Does Anyone Here Have Or Had Low Vitamin D Before Diognosis Or During Treatment
A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

I read the article which made me think about vitamin D and cancer Many years ago I took a supplement for vitamin D which my cardiologist prescribed. When the numbers went up she told me to stop it. Now I’m wondering if my D was low before I found out about my diffuse B Cell lymphoma. I currently told my primary about having low D so she added that to my blood work I will be getting this week. I wonder if the blood work I got during chemo ever checked my D levels. No mention from doctors ever… read more

I take a vitamin D3 every day but a doctor told me years ago to start taking them and that was long before my diagnosis. So having cancer can make it low?

Joint And Bone Pain
A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

Since I just recently was diagnosed with CLL I am not yet on any form of treatment. I am beginning to have joint and bone pain. I thought it to be from arthritis or the fosomax which I just started taking but after reading some symptoms of the lymphoma, it may be from the CLL. What is a safe med to take for pain? At this point I’m just so confused and becoming more frightened. I will ask the oncologist at my next appointment.

Can Someone Explain The "watch And Wait" Reasoning For Treatment?
A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

I was just diagnosed a week ago and don't meet with my doctor to discuss next steps until after the new year. He mentioned possibly doing "watch and wait" method and I've read a lot that backs that up, which really surprises me. Why would you wait until things got worse to pursue any type of treatment?
