Denise I feel the same -- that there is a connection. I believe the vaccines can "pull the trigger," on something brewing in the body such as cancer, autoimmune disease, etc. I know 5 people diagnosed… read more

Opinions or no opinions from politicians. These vaccines, not like others, that have years of testing to make sure they're safe. Would raise a eyebrow? They had only been tested on rats, which most… read more

Shingles Vaccine? Yay Or Nay?
A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

Any thoughts on whether those of us with lymphoma should get the shingles vaccine? My oncologist today told me I should get it. I've been pretty die-hard about not introducing toxins into my body....and I'm thinking that is another one. But he said getting shingles would really be hard on my body with the lymphoma.

A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question 💭
A MyLymphomaTeam Member

No. I don’t believe my cancer or anyone else’s was Covid vaccine related. I was diagnosed with NHL / DLBCL in August 2021. I had already had 2 COVID vaccines earlier that same year. My oncologist… read more

Rituxamab Maintenance Therapy - Do Or Don't???
A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hello Group - My name is Pam, 63 year old retired nurse. I just finished 6 months of Bendemustine/Rituxamab (BR) treatment for follicular lymphoma stage 4. The majority of providers are recommending a 2 year - every 2 month infusion of Rituxamab. I've also heard some LLS physicians state they no longer use this protocol due to weakening of the immune system - with COVID and all still active would increase our chances of getting it. Anyone have advise/opinion on this? I personally don't feel… read more

Anybody Have Swollen Nodes In Groin And Auxiliary Nodes
A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

My auxiliary nodes swole afte Covid booster. I had two ultra sounds but after two were shown to be growing, biopsy ordered. Biopsy results low grade lymphoma leukemia. Doctor referred me to Hematology. CDC showed high WBC but said smudge cells present. Has anybody had this and if so does the smudge cells mean my low grade lymphoma is CLL? I’m devastated.

A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

Ex. My son is immune suppressed bcs of medication he takes for a rare chronic disease and we are cautious but not overprotective of his environment. I assume it is the same for ppl with NHL watch and wait? Or are there additional precautions against infection, beyond the normal precautions, specifically related to cancer? Thanks

I find the watch and wait so hard. For me is like playing with a loaded gun, the problem is that you do not know really what the caliber is going to be. I just finished treatment for a FL Grade 2… read more

Can Someone Explain The "watch And Wait" Reasoning For Treatment?
A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

I was just diagnosed a week ago and don't meet with my doctor to discuss next steps until after the new year. He mentioned possibly doing "watch and wait" method and I've read a lot that backs that up, which really surprises me. Why would you wait until things got worse to pursue any type of treatment?
