June 2019 i was diagnosed with primary cns lymphoma.
This year in march i had an ovary removed. They found diffuse large b cell lymphoma. My oncologist wants to put me on the r-CHOP regimen with stem cell transplant to follow as maintainance therapy.

Any thoughts on whether those of us with lymphoma should get the shingles vaccine? My oncologist today told me I should get it. I've been pretty die-hard about not introducing toxins into my body....and I'm thinking that is another one. But he said getting shingles would really be hard on my body with the lymphoma.

Has anyone with NHL had a terrible time with side effects of the booster? I got mine on Sunday and have had a terrible reaction! So weak sick, tired the works!????

Ex. My son is immune suppressed bcs of medication he takes for a rare chronic disease and we are cautious but not overprotective of his environment. I assume it is the same for ppl with NHL watch and wait? Or are there additional precautions against infection, beyond the normal precautions, specifically related to cancer? Thanks

I completed chemotherapy (Gazyva and Bendeka) for follicular lymphoma last October and have been in remission. Four weeks ago (August 8) I contracted Covid-19. I started taking Paxlovid on August 9, which stopped the Covid immediately, but then symptoms (mostly head cold-like with moderate fever) came back on August 15. I have read that this condition is rare but I have a biopsy for breast cancer coming up and I also have non hodgkin lymphoma. I am wondering if you can have both at the same time!
