At this point, I’ve decided not to start treatment
I have lost two friends in the last year to other types of cancer
They both went through chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
They continued telling me that the chemotherapy had caused many uncomfortable side effects and weren’t sure whether it was causing more painful issues than it was worth.
They both have passed in the last three months.
They both expressed to me that their quality of life, and getting some extra months, wasn’t really… read more
My oncology office made me go through chemo training before starting chemo. I was advised of all of the possible reactions.
I was just diagnosed a week ago and don't meet with my doctor to discuss next steps until after the new year. He mentioned possibly doing "watch and wait" method and I've read a lot that backs that up, which really surprises me. Why would you wait until things got worse to pursue any type of treatment?
For some types of blood cancer there's no evidence that early treatment, when you have no symptoms, improves outcomes. Instead, doctors recommend saving treatment for later, when it will have the best… read more
June 2019 i was diagnosed with primary cns lymphoma.
This year in march i had an ovary removed. They found diffuse large b cell lymphoma. My oncologist wants to put me on the r-CHOP regimen with stem cell transplant to follow as maintainance therapy.
She’s in England and would like to try alternative therapies
I was diagnosed with T-Cell and have been through a lot. 6 rounds of chemo put me in remission and a few months of being in remission, I went through a stem cell transplant with 11 more rounds of… read more
I was diagnosed with Follicular Non Hudgkin's Lymphoma last year in November. Had 4 Month Chemo with Bendeka. Now in remission, and was recommended to do a 2 year maintenance treatment with [[treatment:Rituxan Hycela:5c648bd265df61506ecba9a7]]. Anybody else has the same treatment? Is it standard to do it after chemo? What are the long term side effects? I feel fine, but still worry about this
Anybody completed the 2 year? Was any recurrence of the cancer shortly after finishing treatment.… read more
I tried the maintenance once and mine recurred while on it. I do much better just getting a round of rituxan when it recurs.
I'm Glad CAR-T worked for you guys. In my case it did not. When done only one small spot left. 2 months later Pet-Scan Spot got bigger. Now back to square 1.
Two years ago, I was diagnosed with Marginal Zone lymphoma. I was told that I have cancer in my bone marrow- about 10-20%- My oncologist put me on the watch and wait as I have no symptoms. Does anyone else have cancer in their bone marrow, and did you receive any treatment (chemo?)

I'm 20 yrs. into my journey with nhl follicular b-cell indolent, many treatments, many relapses...treatable not curable
now we're considering a CAR-T cell treatment - a transplant procedure of my T cells approved by FDA in 2016...and people are experiencing complete remission as in possibly cured
Has anyone undergone this particular treatment & if so I'd greatly appreciate the opportunity to chat...
It's a pretty intense procedure with lots of possible serious side effects...
Thanks for any… read more
Dennis3, I am so sorry CAR-T didn't work for you and hope the chemo will. When I first heard about CAR-T, the cure rate was only 40%, which made me reluctant to try it. But I didn't really have… read more
