June 2019 i was diagnosed with primary cns lymphoma.
This year in march i had an ovary removed. They found diffuse large b cell lymphoma. My oncologist wants to put me on the r-CHOP regimen with stem cell transplant to follow as maintainance therapy.

I was just diagnosed a week ago and don't meet with my doctor to discuss next steps until after the new year. He mentioned possibly doing "watch and wait" method and I've read a lot that backs that up, which really surprises me. Why would you wait until things got worse to pursue any type of treatment?

Chemo is directly related to new cancers in our bodies. My doctor also told me indolent lymphomas often lead to other cancers.
My check up yesterday, I knew would be with assistant, I met 1 time prior and tried not to make judgment. Yesterday I asked pointed questions! I couldn't get an answer!!!! Agh! I’m newly diagnosed with Lymphoma…I was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer in September 2023. I’m on chemo for this. My docs seem to be ignoring the lymphoms
I am still being followed from my Car T-Cell therapy that was done last spring,
At this point, I’ve decided not to start treatment
I have lost two friends in the last year to other types of cancer
They both went through chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
They continued telling me that the chemotherapy had caused many uncomfortable side effects and weren’t sure whether it was causing more painful issues than it was worth.

Ex. My son is immune suppressed bcs of medication he takes for a rare chronic disease and we are cautious but not overprotective of his environment. I assume it is the same for ppl with NHL watch and wait? Or are there additional precautions against infection, beyond the normal precautions, specifically related to cancer? Thanks

I went to oncology and he gave me copy of biopsy. Does anybody know what it means when it says mature low grade B-cell lymphoma with CD5 co-expression , most consistent with small lymphocytic lymphoma/chronic lymphocytic leukemia
